Types of Geiger Muller Detectors

End-Window GM Tubes

These detectors  have a thin window at one end of the tube, allowing alpha, beta, and gamma radiation to enter and be detected. They are commonly used for general-purpose radiation detection.

Pancake GM Tubes

Pancake tubes have a larger surface area, making them more sensitive to alpha and beta radiation. They are ideal for surface contamination monitoring.
